Draft:BBC One Bangla (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

This is all gormless porkies. SpinnerLaserzthe2nd (talk) 16:50, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as advertising. Rubbish computer Ping me or leave a message on my talk page 17:25, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak Delete since we are here and now this will die of old age in December, but this should have been left alone, and would have died of old age in one month. It needed rejecting, and was already rejected. Don't waste the time of MFD deleting stupid drafts that are not being resubmitted and will expire. • Speedy Delete G3 as a blatant hoax. There is no TV channel called "BBC One বাংলা". The BBC publishes news content in bengali https://www.bbc.com/bengali and they have a local version of BBC world service BBC Bangla but there is no BBC one TV channel. The logo is a crappy photoshop. The Text is barley coherent and not at all what you would expect from the BBC. There is no mention of this Channel on the BBC website. Doing a google search turns up a fake "BBC One বাংলা" youtube channel that uses this article as its channel description. That channel has 30 subscribers, 8000 views and all its content is news programming that's been nicked from other news broadcasters and had a logo badly edited on it. This needs deleting and the creator needs a username block for impersonating an actual BBC employee. 192.76.8.78 (talk) 20:27, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    • Did you see the weird porn sites that kept popping up for some of the results? Drmies (talk) 20:44, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
      @Drmies I saw that they existed but I didn't pay any attention to them. I stopped searching once I'd had a look at the Facebook page and the YouTube channel and it became obvious it was just some kid messing around (I doubt the real BBC would be posting "Thank you so much for 20 subscribers!" on their social media pages). I assume the other sites are just mirroring wikipedia for SEO, it's a good way of creating lots of pages full of content relevant to basically every topic imaginable to boost your PageRank rating. 192.76.8.78 (talk) 20:52, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
      Have you contacted the BBC about this? SpinnerLaserzthe2nd (talk) 21:54, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
      @SpinnerLaserzthe2nd I haven't, no, and honestly I don't think it's worth it. I don't think they'd do anything about some kid with 30 subscribers making a fake TV channel on youtube. 192.76.8.78 (talk) 00:24, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
